AIDA stands for Attention, Interest, Desire and Action. It is a powerful copy-writing formula that works for sales page, blog posts, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and more.

Attention
If you want people to take action on what they have read, the first thing is to get their attention. You can get their attention by creating a unique headline or subject line or video title.
Interest
Once they start to read your content, it's time to turn that attention into interest. Why should them care? Why should them continue to read? How can your content help them?
You should hold their interest in the first paragraph, or you will lost them. It is true because people don't have time and patient to read the whole thing if they don't get interest in the first place.
The way to get them interested is to engaged them with fresh information, cool images or videos.
Desire
Once people really engaged with your content, they would like to know what you are offering.
There are three ways to create desire in your ads:
- show your product benefits
- explain how your product can change their life or how it solve their problems
- show the results
It is very common and useful to include those information in your Ads because people will search customer reviews or compare with your competitor products when they are making decisions.
Action
Action is really where you want to ask them to take the next step. This is also the purpose of your ads. Everything you write in your ads should have a call-to-action.
Call-to-action is pretty simple statement to let people know that what you want to let them to do next. For example, you may want them to sign up newsletter, register membership, buy product, or watch video.
You can also create urgency ads which can put an incentive to buy it. Nobody want to miss this big sale opportunity which will save them a lot of money.
Overall, AIDI is designed to grab people's attention and take them through your content to the point that they take action on what they've read. If you use this Ad formula, it will help you write all your ads faster and also help you get the results that would blow you away.
