McDonald "Scale For Good" Campaign:Teach People Eat Creative And Right

Every brand has it own ways to promote the brand. Most brands are focus on only promoting products or service. Even though brands create many ways to interact with customers, sometimes customers don't feel exited at all.

Why?

The main reason is most interactive ideas are delivered on social media. And, people don't check social media all the time. There are too many posts showing up on social media page every second, so people are easy to ignore those "have fun" or "take action" posts. The high content competition on social media makes brands hard to grab people's attention.

Moreover, many posts are just for promotion purpose , but they don't meaningful. People don't feel it is important or necessary to do. Brands need to think a customer-central idea to let people feel your brand cares about their feeling and life.

In order to get high customer engagement, brands need to generate creative ideas to make people feel learn something new and easy to interact.

Recently, McDonald China launched "Scale For Good" campaign. The purpose of this campaign is calling everyone to save the food and protect the environment.

The way to deliver the message is very creative. Instead of telling people don't waste food and tissues,  McDonald teach people creative and simple ways to eat the food and also protect the environment.

For example, customers always ask more ketchup when they order only one fries. However, most people don't use all ketchup at all. They throw the rest ketchup. Therefore, McDonald shows a new way to use one ketchup to serve all the fries.

Do we really have to use a straw to drink our ice coke? It is not necessary.

For the take out paper bag, we can use it in many ways such as making a unique wallet or a couple coasters. So, don't throw the bag, bring it home.

The plate paper is the most fun part. McDonald challenges people to transform those plate paper to DIY origami.

It is fun to play, and it creates a good memory, too. Therefore, it is not only a piece of plate paper, but also an art work.

My Thought:

As the world largest fast food brand, McDonald doesn't only focus on promoting how good of their fries and new burgers but also concentrate on taking social responsibility.

McDonald China receives about 1.3 billion customers a year. Having this huge customer size, McDonald is hard to ignore the its social influence in the world. Therefore, "Scale For Good" campaign does not only deliver a fun experience to customers, but it also helps people develop a good habit. It is a creative way to influence people's life  and the world environment in the long run.

McDonald cares about customer experience, and it also cares about the environment. All those creative ideas is very simple to do, so people would love to visit McDonald to try, and share all these fun experience and deliver positive energy on social media. People love brands who are fun and also have a big heart. That's probably why so many people love McDonald.

Starbucks: Three Main Benefits For Writing Customer Name On The Cup

Whenever I order a small Starbucks coffee, I am always asked "What's your first name?" by a cashier. Even I was the only person to order, they still asked my name. Not only Starbucks, now many other bubble tea brands such as Vivi, Coco, Gong Tea also start calling customer's names. Why does Starbucks write customer name on the cup? What're the benefits to do that? Image from writingelves.com Self-Promotion In the beginning, Starbucks wrote customer names because they received too many orders. Marking down names would prevent mistakes. Later on, Starbucks found that writing names do not only improve work efficiency but also increase brand awareness.   Sometimes (most times) Starbucks spell the wrong name. You think customers will get angry? Actually no. In contrast, people feel Starbucks is not only a coffee shop but also a coffee shop with its own personality.  Image From Memeguy Some customers also make fun with Starbucks. They come up with...

Pantene "Power of Grey" Campaign: Every Color Is Shining

Many of my girlfriends started to change their hair color. A new hair color brings a new look which makes them feel different.  I never color my hair because I love my black hair. If one day I get white hair, I might change the color because I don't want to look old. See, white or grey hair means old. It is a very common thought in society. What if someone was born in grey hair?  Pantene found that 80% of Brits have grey hair, but 40% cover them because they feel less confident with grey hair.  So, Pantene launched "Power of Grey" Campaign to encourage people to embrace their unique trait: grey hair.  Yes, grey hair is different, but they are also beautiful the way they are.  The new Pantene hair care product is special for grey hair and will make them shiner. "Power of Grey" campaign turns the negative perception of grey hair to a positive view. As the Katharine Newby Grant commented: "We're committed to continui...
